600 kilos, tacones rojos
Powerful animals; Rhino, bull. Mythological animals, with readings far beyond the animal. Representations of power, of imperium.
Humor. Red heeled shoe. A minimum element that uncontrollably extends what the animal represents. Male and female Solid and fragile. Blunt and delicate. Powerful and trapped.
Humor. Counterpoint.
Images that represent the contradiction of our time.
The extraordinary accumulation of knowledge, the immense power of so many inventions.
Indecision and fear of changes.
Towers of entaconed animals. A tip to the construction: Seduction. Eros.
Different natures, disciplines, characters, origins.
Eros: I tell you, I listen to you, we take care of ourselves, we build a new story.
My work is the workshop. The volume and the stain.
I’m interested in humor. Illustrate and foster relationships between images. These new relationships are beyond my authorship. It is the spectator who finishes my work. Hopefully discover others that I have not thought of. My work is not literature or words.
The technique:
I love the trade. I feel free knowing how to do my job. Draw, with Iron or with ink and water.
I accept the error. I accept the accident. I love it. Without an accident there is no learning, there is no surprise. When I build or draw I do not know how it will be. I need the loss. Like walking through a forest, attentive. Without path or time.
When I think I’m done, I have to stop seeing them. Hide them for a few days at least. After a while I recognize them and they amaze me, as if they were not my hand. So I know they are good.
